THE SUN
The Sun is the centre and light source of our universe and the ruler of Leo. In astrology the sun reflects our heart energy, identity and ego, defines our individuality and free will. It is the core of our creativity and personal expression throughout life. Sun energy also represents how you will attach or detach to certain situations.

THE MOON
The Moon is the ruler of Cancer and is known as the Mother Planet. It is the planet of emotions, sub-conscious, psychic intuition, dreams and past life recognition. It also reflects our personality and our emotional reactions in life.

MERCURY
Mercury is the planetary ruler of both Gemini and Virgo. It governs the intellect, communication, logic and common sense, cold reason, commerce and business. Mercury represents how we perceive and communicate our perceptions and those of others in our environments and society.

VENUS
Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra. It is the planet, which reveals how we like to relate to our environment and other people. Venus represents how we see the beauty in things and how we define what is beautiful to us. It also indicates what we value, and is linked with people, money, resources and possessions.

MARS
Mars is the ruler of Aries and is the planet of goals and desires, assertion and drive. Mars defines how we determine and enact on our goals and desires. Mars provides an understanding for our motivation, direction and empowerment to obtain what we desire. It determines how we will enact our freewill and reflects the types of success or failure we experience in our careers.

JUPITER
Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius and is the planet of expansion, abundance, philosophy and wisdom. It explores culture, religion, and society. Jupiter is the development planet. It represents the middle life cycles in spans of 12 to 13 year cycles. It highlights the areas in which we yearn to discover greater truths.

SATURN Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and represents karma, business and career path, responsibility and authority, boundaries and structure and societal influence. Saturn returns in cycles of 28 to 30 years and represents how we view authority, social structure, restriction and constraint, responsibility for ourselves, in society and in our homes.

URANUS
Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, representing originality and unconventionality, and expressed as both the unusual or the brilliant genius or the willful rebel without a cause. It tells us the areas in which we break with convention, become innovative and experiment with new and exciting ways.

NEPTUNE
Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and the planet of mysticism and at-one-ness. It is important to note that Neptune takes about 164 years to make a complete cycle, spending about thirteen years in each sign.

PLUTO
Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio and the planet of transformation. Nothing stays the same around this planet. Its task is to clear out the old to make way for the new.

THE ASCENDANT
The Ascendant or Rising Sign is one of the keys to self discovery. It tells us how we express ourselves as individuals. The Ascendant is also the start of the life path journey and the areas in life we need to learn about.

THE MIDHEAVEN
The MC or Medium Coeli tells us how we express ourselves publicly. This includes our social status, and/or our chosen profession. The MC also represents how we will crave attention and recognition.

CHIRON
Chiron, the Wounded Healer, represents our emotional and physical wounds. It reveals a part of us that is hurt, small and vulnerable.

THE NORTH AND SOUTH NODE
The North Node points to a key lesson in our lives. It represents new experiences towards which we must aim during this life. We have already learnt the skills of its opposite point, the South Node, in past lives.
